Factories run on one number: how much of planned time became good parts at full speed. Every loss in that number, a breakdown, a slowdown, a scrapped part, is preceded by a call someone on the floor made, or did not make.
Machines record that the loss happened. A confirmed decision records the call before it, and whether a better one existed. That lets us state a model’s mistakes in the factory’s own currency: minutes of capacity lost, not points on a benchmark.
